zkCTF FAQs

What is a CTF?

"Capture The Flag" (CTF) competitions, in the cybersecurity sense, consist of a set of computer security puzzles, or challenges. When players solve them they get a "flag," which can be exchanged for points. The more points a team earns, the higher up it moves in rank.

Where do I register?

Click the "Register" button in the upper right corner of the competition page and follow the guides to complete the registration.

How does it work?
  • Register a team on the ScaleBit zkCTF website
  • Create a team
  • Invite others to your team if you like, each team is limited to 2 members
  • Solve the challenges presented. The competition contains several challenges. Some challenges will be unlocked on the first day and the remaining challenges on the second day.
  • At the end of each challenge there is a flag (text token) that usually looks like this — flag{SomeTextHere} — Copy and submit to the ctf challenge page to get score
